Dear ESCP member
You are being invited to take part in a research study about your experiences, behaviours and needs relating to pharmacy practice research and training. Thank you for taking the time to read the following information carefully. It is important that you understand why the research is being done and what it will involve.
What is the purpose of the study?
The ESCP Research Committee is interested in your experiences, behaviours and needs relating to research training and practice. We are interested even if you have not participated in research. As a committee, we are really keen to get your views on how ESCP could help you in your pharmacy practice research and training.
Why have I been chosen?
This invitation has been sent to all members of ESCP.
Do I have to take part?
No. Participation in this study is voluntary so you may withdraw at any time. However, we are keen to get responses from as many ESCP members as possible.
What will happen to me if I take part?
If you decide to take part, you should complete and submit this questionnaire. This should take no more than 20 minutes to complete.
What are the possible benefits of taking part?
The findings will help the ESCP Research Committee and ESCP to understand better your aspirations in pharmacy practice research and training. This will inform our plans for furthering research and research support which ESCP could provide.
Will my contribution to this study be kept confidential?
Yes. The questionnaire is completely anonymous and we cannot link your responses back to you.
What will happen to the results of the research study?
A report of the findings will be available on the ESCP website. We also plan presenting the findings at a future ESCP symposium and submitting a paper for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
Who is organising and funding the research?
The research is organised by the ESCP Research Committee; no funding has been provided and the committee members are doing this work in their own time.
Who has reviewed the study?
The study has been reviewed and approved by the ESCP General Committee.
If you decide to take part in the research, please complete and submit the questionnaire.
On behalf of the ESCP Research Committee, thank you for your time and consideration in reading this information sheet. If you have further questions about this study please get in touch.
Professor Derek Stewart
Chair, ESCP Research Committee
